Here is a piece from a friend who wrote the best description of a true kiss that I've ever heard.

Kissing Eternity

A kiss begins with lips unmet
But in the mind the field is wet
To guide the path that gods bestow
Upon the dreams we must forgo

A kiss is felt through time and trust
Shedding the doom, dissolving the rust
Gathered around the walls we've built
With blocks of shame, mortars of guilt

It hungers more beyond our sin
It longs to live deep down within
Where kisses see to soul’s wide rift
A way to heal and heart to lift

From lonely place where leaves fall bare
And God himself forgets to care
A kiss to know the hidden space
Between the mirror of mask-less face

All this before the sweet soft bliss
As lips combine to never miss
The truth and trust in souls combined
A kiss seeks first and will remind

Of days once warm and eyes that weep
From joy and faith in love to keep
Our secret shared to first best friend
A kiss will last and never end.
